Anyone know?!? Asking because will buy the cheap moto 3g phone (c175?) - if can be unlocked @ a reasonable price

Really depends on which phone you talking about, at the moment..to be honest 3 has made it a bit tricky so you only luck is asking them to unlock it...and that will cost a few pennies...

Methinks you are referring to those Moto C975 from Carphone Warhouse perhaps? £9.99 when bought with 30 quid's airtime?
I speak under correction, but I think most independent mobile phone shops in my area charge about £10-£15 to unlock them.
Personally, the fact that this phone doesn't have either Bluetooth or even IR hasn't made me even remotely interested in this 'offer'. |

Yeh it is the c975 - sorry - maybe won't bother with that - i'll still go for the v600i

Thought I'd quickly revive this thread due to CPW dropping the price of the C975 even further from today; now £5.99 wbw £30 airtime.

Still wouldn't personally bother with this handset though, but if anyone's looking for an ultra cheap (and nasty) 3G phone on a shoestring, even if no B/T or even IR, this might just be of some interest... |

some can be done online via cable. google it. i wanted to unlock my e616 once (got rid of it though) and there were programs to do it.
