Should I trust someone to change my LED's? |

hi everyone,
there's a phone store in my neighborhood who says they can change the LED's on my T68. i've seen them change LED's on Nokia's before; they seem to know what they're doing. but they JUST started selling the T68, in fact they don't have any in stock right now.
i'm very tempted, i've seen pictures of T68's w/ Blue or White LED's. i'm getting tired of not being able to see the keypad at night. but i'm a little weary, such an expensive phone, and i'm pretty sure this will be the first T68 they will have worked on.
anyways, thanks for any thoughts

I would'nt risk it! You may run into problem when upgrading sw and repairing the phone. After all this phone is pretty new in the market, so upgrades and repairs might be needed. |

I wouldnt risk it either.
You'll loose your warranty, and I'm quite sure that the upgrades wont be free anymore either.

I don't recomend it because first and most important you loose the warranty. Next, I have a friend you did this in a Nokia 8210 and the job they did was slopy. After some time he changed the illumation the phone was a piece of crap! I don't know for sure if it was a failure because of the illumination change or just coinsidence. But the phone was gone! Don't do it.

you may see this pic.
the yellow light of the keyboard LED is so weak comparing to the backlit of the color screen.i hope the new version of T68 will be equipped with BLUE/WHITE keyboard backlit.

If you don't care for the warranty its your problem, not mine. Obviously some people do care for the warranty.
I don't want to be offensive to you, but, I don't like the colour of your T68.

For the price you pay for the phone, i would strongly suggest you DO NOT get the lights done, especially considering they are only new to doing T68s. From what I have seen of my friends Nokias, the brightness level of the blue lights compared to, say, the Nokia 8250 which comes with blue light as standard, is nowhere near as good. It is, though, better that the standard green/yellow light, however there's no way I would risk it.
I have just purchased an a3618s, the one that has four different backlight colours - the standard yellow, a bright, Nokia-Style blue, a bright orange/red colour, and a greenish colour similar to that on, say, Timex watches. |

Can anybody help me? I want to detach my front cover of my T68!
Yesterday I got it back from Ericsson Repair in Rijen, the Netherlands, and now I have a fingerprint under the displaycover. It is so irritating... The fingerprint is FULLY visible. Now I want to detach the front cover because I want to wipe the fingerprint out!
Please help me!

If you ask an "offical" SonyEricsson Service Poimt (Like Nordialog here in Norway) what would be the problem. They are supposed to handle repairs on the phones, and your warranty is thru them.

I really like my T68, but the keypad lighting is rather annoying.

Has anyone tried to return the phone to a servide point claiming the weak leds under the keypad is a fault? Aren't they suppose to shine so you can see the keys in dark and if they don't shouldn't that be considered a fault?
If I had an expensive T68m with very weak keypadlight and warranty still I would defenitly try to get to fix it as error on the warranty and not pay alot for someone else to do it and lose the warranty.
