I know most people here aren't happy with DRM and so here is an article where various devices were tested to come up with this result

25% less playing time for players that use Microsoft's WMA 10 DRM tracks.
But just 8% less playing time for iPods playing Apple's iTMS AAC tracks.
Another plus point for the iPod there then!
