(As is the newer and largely unsupported by SE devices h.264 aka AVC). Most stuff you'll find is probably in h.263 or "true" mpeg4 if it's in a .mp4 file, although .mp4 is a "Container" format which just has instructions for how to work with the audio/visual components in it, it can use pretty much any mpeg4 compatible videoformat such as divx or xvid instead of "standard" h.263 Here's more info than you'd ever want: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/H.263 It's far too complicated.
