has anyone got ANY idea of how to browse other websites on my handset other than the rubish ones that 3 say i can? i've had an idea, ive just enabled the wireless web service on my phone and downloaded opera, but its gonna take 4 hours to start working.
Has anyone else had any luck browsing outside of 3?

look on google. when i had an nec phone (on 3) i tried to do the same thing. i found a few sites with info. worth a look.

I believe you can browse outside of 3, but you have to buy 'access' to the web, can't remember the cost but from memory it's something like £1.50 for an hour and £5 for 24 hours. I think it's somewhere in the 'my 3' tab.

im sure you can change the gprs settings or something from what i read before. just keep looking on google. im sure theres a 3g forum but i forgot the name. i think its something simple like 3g.co.uk lol

the other option is obviously to reflash the handset with original nokia firmware, that'll sort that one out. |

its a nokia then  not always a case of re flashing the handset its a case of wether 3 support web browsing. i would email them if i were you. i would also flash it to then original fw as its always much better

yes, despite my normal insitance on buying SE, i decided to go for a nokia, the 3g handsets just weren't enough for me. I love the W900, but its just not different enough from my k750 to warrant buying one. This means i unfortunately have to stick with this until the w990 EVENTUALLY turns up... any news on that release date by the way? |
