My W900i have frozen. The screen is just white. It happend after disconnecting it from my computer. Ihave tried to take out the batery and put it in again, but the same problem continues when the phone is turned on. Is there any way to restart/reboot it?

Welcome to Esato!

I take it you had the W900 in USB mode when it was connected to your computer? The W900 resets itself into a flash drive mode when you select the File Transfer option after connecting it to your computer. I suspect that it has somehow become 'stuck' when trying to boot back into the normal phone mode.

I would have suggested removing the battery, but as you have already done that without success I would think your best bet would be to have your handset flashed. You could send it to Sony Ericsson and have it repaired (flashed) under warranty. Alternatively you could flash it yourself, but this will void the warranty.

I suppose you could keep trying to reset your handset by removing the battery. Take the battery out for a decent length of time e.g. a minute or so and then replace it. It's worth giving it a shot a couple of times at least.

here is another recent thread for the same problem where the general consensus also seems to be that a firmware reflash is required
