I want to resize photos taken on my K750i, on the phone. They can be resized prior to sending as an mms, but I want them to send via bluetooth as the smaller size and can't find any way to reduce them from their 1632x1224 size. Can the resized mms version be recovered any way? Or is there an app that will do it, but on the phone when I've not got pc access?

The only way I know which uses the phone alone requires cropping the image.

View the picture in horizontal mode. Then zoom the pic (anything greater than 1x works). Press "Save" (right soft key) and choose one of the four options (small, medium, large).

@kristianm

Thanks! That works, but only if you can get away with the cropping not losing any of the image you want to keep. Anybody else got any ideas about keeping the whole image?

Failure to save happens to me too before. I just couldn't sort it out what causes it to fail.

there is usually two things that can cause such fault, the first is low ram and that will be fixed with a restart, the second could be low memory(inbuilt or memcard)
Mobilephones i had: T10, T18, P800, P900, T630, P910. Motorola T260, MPx 220. Siemens MC60, SX1. Nokia 3510i, N-Gage, 3310. Qtek 9100, 9090. Samsung X-830. Have now: Treo 650
I would be a millionaire if i got 1$ everytime i thought of a :raz

Microsoft offer a number of "Power Tools" for windows, one of which is an image resizer, i use it all the time with my photos.

Mine had in the past said saving failed, but after another attempt or two it works fine.

The only way to resize images AFAIK would either be a Java app, or the way i found..

Take a picture (any picture), and open it in the VIDEO DJ app. Then, set the duration of the picture to play as 5 seconds. Now save it as a video.

Now, go to the media player, play the video. You'll see the picture play for 5 seconds. Pause the video when it is playing, press MORE and choose capture frame.

Now, in your pictures folder you'll have a tiny QCIF sized image, resized down. Kinda cool, makes it handy for sending tiny pictures via mms, especially when they were 2mp in size, and 500kb+/- in file size.

creative solution etaab.

You can also resize the picture by sending it as an mms and saying yes when it prompts to resize. Then send the image to yourself and when you receive it open the message and save the image to the phone.

This method requires use of an mms credit, and resizes to 640x480 only.

Crop it on the phone using the save command (if you ever get it working) and then use that resize option.. ?
