Nice picks! yeah, the screen does look little ... have you played around with it? Is the menu in 3x3 icons or like the recent nokia-type menu in J200/J210?

I think that it looks pretty good for a cheap phone. In fact if the screen was square, it would look better that the J200/300 series. Buttons look pretty well sized and tactile.
One last thing... what's the quality of the screen like?

I think they're meant to be contrasting colours, to make a fairly dull product look interesting. That's what Nokia has being doing for the past few years!

i think this phone will be priced damn cheap...like around 40-50$.
it would be promoted well in growing markets where nokia are preffered like India.
nokia and motorola are trying to introduce cheaper phones in India.motorola has got the upperhand with a 20$ phone.nokia is inaugrated a factory yesterday where low end to medium end phones would be manufactured(cutting costs further).and with j100,se is also joinig the fight.
J100 seems poor quality...as if i were made of poorly recycled plastic. |

no man,i am a big SE fan but i must admit....from the pictures,it looks as if someone melted plastic at home in some bonfire and used it to make the outer body of the phone.
and the front part...between the keypad and the screen, the material looks like thermocol.
i dont think this is a SE design.i feel they outsourced the design from china/taiwan(no offence to these countries) and asked them to make a cheaper versoin of one of their present J series. |
