There's a sharp edge on the back of my HBH-30 that rubs against the rubber on the ear-loop. This results in abbrasions and gouges in the rubber. i've only had it for a month, and the rubber is already messed up totaly.

Exactly the same problem here. I think the piece that connects the mic arm to the ear loop is too flexible for the headset's own good. Rather disappointing.

I'm thinking of putting some tape or something on the rubber part. I can't see SE exchanging this as a warranty thing either.

The HBH-30 ?

That's been out for months ! Are you perhaps thinking of the HBH-60 ?

SE won't change it under warranty because as far as they're concerned, there is no manufacturing defect. I'm surprised this passed QA - at least one tester should have run into this friction issue before the product was released.

I still love it though

Mine has the same problem too after only 5 weeks and there is an intermittent short when you wiggle it. I certainly thing that this is a design defect that they need to address and replace.

what is the production week you found on the box or on the back of the headset?

I also experienced this. I think this is a design issue.

got the same issue, but i have noticed it before it had screwed up my rubber, so now i put the battery above the yearpice and it does not rub against anymore (but i have to do it everytime i take it off my ear, annoying if you ask me)... it is such a pain. i havet se for that... i guess if we all came together and complained, they could recall the thing and solve our problem...
