Hi people,
The camera in my k750 has been perfect up till now. The problem is everytime I hold down the camera button (to autofocus) and take a picture it just returns me to the viewfinder. It doesn't take a picture just returns me to where I can see out from it.

There's also a strange number above the '1632' icon when I open the viewfinder, it says '20'.

Any ideas?

can't answer the actual problem but this bit is just telling you how many pictures you can take at the current resolution, for the current "save to" location (memory stick or phone niternal memory)

I know wat ur talkin about. I had the same problem. At one point i would take a photo and it would jum back to the phones desktop. I thought it was a memory problem to start with so i cleared some junk out but it had no affect. All i did was turn the fone off and turn it back on and it worked fine after tht. Aint had a problem since.

Iv got the fone 6th Jan this year. This happened about two weeks later. Then after it stopped iv never had a problem since.

I realise this isnt much help, but sometimes its nice to know ur not the only 1 its happening to. But atleast you know its not unfixable.

Got exactly the same problem a few months ago.

I take a picture. Instead of the word "saving" appearing and letting me view my snapshot, it just return to viewfinder mode.

Heres how i fixed it.
1. Do not use phone memory, i noticed the error occur more often if i use this memory.
2. Make sure the memory stick (the storage of choice) have atleast 10+ mb remaining (not really crucial, just a hunch)
3. Do not use Date/time option, this actually increases error rate even if memory card is selected as storage. (I think this is the cause of the bug)
4. Reboot phone after making the above recommendations.

I actually did a statistical experiment by combining many possible situations and take note which situation produces the most number of error. After doing the above steps, never encountered the problem again

Hope this helps!

On my W800, there are times (happens rarely) when I try taking a shot and it doesn't get saved (similar to your problem.. the screen freezes for a while as if it's saving the pic, then it just returns to the viewfinder). It only happens when I've just opened the camera application by opening the camera lens cover. Very annoying when it happens.

You can try updating the firmware of the phone too, this may help with the problem if it's a software bug

I have about 8mb free on the memory card so I'll clear some stuff out and see if that works.

I have the most recent firmware

Yep had the same problem with My k750i too i thought it was just me.

I have the latest firmware and i got round the problem by reseting the phone and formatting the memory card.

I now dont get the fault at all.

I found a solution for this.

There was about 8mb free so I deleted some mp3's and now it's fine
