Friends,

Here's a weird thing I would like to share with you. I recently obtained a brand new W800i. Now I am on a GSM connection in India with a service provider called Airtel. My girl friend is on a CDMA connection in a different city with a service provider called Reliance.

Now every time I try to send a message from my phone to hers it sometimes goes through and sometimes it fails. When it fails, it gives me the option to save it in Drafts which I do. If i send it from the drafts again like normal send, it might go through or it might not, mostly not. Now, If I was to move that message from Drafts to Templates and then send it from the Templates section, it goes out ike nobody's business. No matter how many times it fails with normal send or draft, using a template to send it out always works. Now being in different cities, messaging is the most cost-effective way for us to stay in touch and there are days when the only way to do that is to send it by making a template. The same happens when I message to another Reliance CDMA number belonging to my friend, Quite frustating, I tell you.

I am pretty sure that this problem is not network dependant, as the message always goes out by using a template to do it and I never used to have any problems with my old E700 which I again tested by using it for a day.

Has anyone else heard of this, experienced this or knows a way to fix this? If not, then is there a way to communicate this with SE?

usually happens , when you reply to the message, create a new one instead of replying.. ...

if it happens even while doing that, go to unsent mail, select send, it will bring up with a screen with the name if hte sender on it, delete the name and re enter the number using the keypad and send it....

@govigov: I am sorry for not making myself clear earlier but I am referring to SMS and not Email. Haven't had any problems with email yet. And the SMS has problems with creating a new one as well, some days the only way I can get them to go through is by creating a template. Nothing else works!

It is already resolved in W810i. If the message failed, it will ask you to resend it and no longer ask you to save in draft folder.

I think it is because of the firmware version.

Well, I do have the latest firmware. That's the R1A008 one. Let's see what happens in their next update!
