If you run the JBenchmark3D (Java) test on your k750i, you'll notice color decline (from 256K to 65K), and has remained constant ever since firmware R1N035 - the latest firmware (R1AA008) does not resolve the realization either.
I take no credit in the above discovery since someone (can't remember his username or where exactly I found out) pointed this long ago when the first R1N035 was released. However, I realized that R1AA08 does not affect the color issue either by running a test today.
What are SE compromising for with this color decline? I find the video quality worse on R1AA008. Hence, those of you dying to get an update (lol), pls don't - unless you have 10 Euros right next to you just in case SE backs out at the last minute! Plus, joystick problem does not resolve since as you read on, you'll figure it's an external issue (dust, tear, etc).

The java api only support 65k colors, which is why all java programs including jbenchmark only run at max 65k colors - has nothing to do with any decline, firmwarechanges, or the phone in any way. And theres nothing to solve.
I also pointed this out the first time this "error" was "discovered", in the thread where the "error" was brought up, but maybe you didnt read the thread to the end.

I am sure that piece of information would help everyone as much as it helped me. I read all threads / comments to the end, but yes, I confused the JAVA API due to temptations from other forums.

no problem, Thought you were refering to a thread her on Esato where the same thing popped up a long time ago, I hadnt seen the thread you link to before, but also did notice the last post where jbenchmark apparently reports 16mill colors for the nokia 6680 which is nonsense.
