I was just surfing round gsmarena and I saw this! Looks strangely like SE's UI.

yes that is definately SE's UI. Rather than it being stollen though isn't it more likely that this manufacturer has licensed it from SE?! otherwise yes SE can, and most likely will, sue! and rightly so.

It is highly illegal, but as WelshTom said the manufacturer might have licensed it from SE

remember - they could have actually paid se. for it (more likely than not they haven't though - like sendo didn't pay companies for loads of things they used :S ) [addsig]

Ericsson still make phones (well, sort of) for other manufacturers. It's possible that this is one of those, using Ericsson hardware that isn't just for the Sony Ericsson joint venture.

Otherwise it will either be a rip off, or simply an artist impression of a UI that's far worse in reality. All the big companies will show images on the screen that aren't real (or possible), although Samsung does at least say in about 4pt text somewhere on an ad that it's simulated. I can remember when SE got into trouble with the T68 showing a super hi-res picture, but they all do it now!
