Has anyone found a wap page which you can send sms(for free) from?

I have tried to search esato forums but I didn't find anything about this topic.

Could you keep it in english...
I do understand swedish, but other ppl don't!

As answer to the topic:
Don't you think it'll be more expencive to log on WAP and then visit a wapsite and type the message while online, than just sending an ordinary message?

With gprs you only pay for the amount of data you transfer, and not the time you are online. So it would be very cheap. Comviq in Sweden has this service, sadly their was gateway sucks.. :-(

Even if a pay for gprs it's going to be cheaper to wap in to a site and send my sms from there. For my gprs(telia sweden) I pay $10 US for 5MB/month, and I can send lots of sms for 5MB.

I must excist wap pages that offers free sms like ordinary web pages do, other wise I have to start one. Imagine all visitors that's going to wap/browse into that page, and with that traffic you must be able to sell good spots for advertising.

I'm still searching, so for I have found a couple of sites that supports this, but just for some east europeen countries.

where i'm at, the mobile networks do not charge yet for gprs use. is it a general practive for them to charge only for the amount of data transfer via it's use? Or do some charge for the time you spend on using GPRS for wap?

@Scythe
To the best of my knowledge all operators charge for the amount of data, not the time. That's the whole purpose of GPRS, otherwise you can just connect via HSCSD and pay for the time used. I have never heard anyone charge for both time and data at the same time. From the beginning, of gprs, I know that vodaphone in sweden set a limit to 24 hours beeing connected, after that a small fee was charged.

Why keep it in english Mentor? The only ones who can benefit from sending sms via gprs need to have comviq as their operator. And as comivq is a swedish operator i guess the ones using iq is able to speak swedish. And, yes I think that there are money to save here, as it´s free to be connected via gprs. But it´s kinda cheap that "they only allow us to send 5 sms/day for free, thou still better then nothing!

Here in Turkey we can send SMS via GPRS. It costs %50 cheaper than normal SMS service. And it is very fast,sending message just appears-disappears like a magic:-) (As you see not only swedish operator)
