When I use disc to phone software, all my previous tracks get overwritten. The tracks have different names but they still get overwritten

I tried to just transfer files using my data cable and windows explorer but have the same problem. can anyone help?

Use a memory card reader - not the phone and the supplied cable.
From what I've seen on other web sites, it seems to be a know problem.

afaik there's a memory card adapater supplied with ur W800i package.
That's enough to get u going.

There is no memory card adapter supplied with the package, only the data cable to connect to the phone - this uses the phone as the actual memory card reader and that's where the problem is !

You need a stand-alone memory card reader - they normally come with the cable (usually USB) to connect to your PC.

The cheapest place you'll get a memory card reader is eBay :
http://search.ebay.co.uk//sea[....]R40&satitle=memory+card+reader

Make sure it reads Sony Memory Stick Duo Pro Cards.

I got one of the 23-in-1 readers and it works great.
