Sony Ericsson are retouching the pictures in their Press room to make the phones look better than what they really are!

This is really bad of them.

Maybe those pics aren't of the final product.

Those pics are from the official photos site for the phone.
I even provided the url

The W300 looks really nice in the retouched pictures...
Not quite that good in the real pictures though...

Or maybe some of the "live" pictures were taken with proto's?

I sure hoped so Gigs but the antenna thing at the top is there in all other pictures, even live pictures from other sites.
I think someone @ se felt the phone would look better this way without the sticker part and the antenna

Can't explain why the operator logo area looks a bit different, but isn't it just the perspective from which the photo is taken that means you can't see the raised part at the back of the phone? It's a thick phone, and even a slight tilt backwards will make the "antenna" disappear from view.

well the loop antenna is not as protruded as per Z520

I strongly believe it is not a touch up but just tht the photographer manage to use his skills to hide the ugliest part on the product.

This is commonly done for photographer.

take a look at mariah carey...sometimes at certain angle she just look like a young babe but sometime at some angle...she is so plump.

LMAO

@esoqq: Might just be the perspective, but I still doubt it. Feels weird for that thing to just disappear =P (:/)

I think you are right, the angle isn't obtuse enough for the antenna to be hidden, and the sticker area is certainly different, so I think you are on to something.

Another suspicious thing, take a look at the Walkman's W logo. Does anyone notice the bad cropping around the W logo? I can see several thin white area around the W logo.

Yes it might just be the perspective, though here I doubt it.

That phone looked so sexy on the website, but then I was disappointed when I saw live pictures, due to this! I was mislead by pics really.

Usually pics of phones in advertising/marketing materials are taken so as to attenuate some of the not so nice things of phones, usually the thickness. I think went really too far here and posted misleading pics of its product, by hiding/concealing the antenna itself. In France, this might well fall into the illegal category of "publicité mensongère" i.e. lying advertisement/advertising material.

However, there is always a disclaimer saying that reserves the right to affect the looks/features of the phones.

Look closely. The black W300 has no M2 sign (down to left), but the second one has the sign..... Nothing serious, right?
