hi everyone, im a newbie here!
just would like to ask u bout my SE K500i, last week i received an MMS from a frend, when i opened it, it said something like "This will help you save battery and 'MONEY'..." It bothered me, and then just yesterday, i received another one from the same sender, it's an MMS with subject "MS-DOS". I did not dare open it. Now, I tried sending MMS as I usually do in the past, but after opening those mysterious MMS, my own MMS fails to be sent all the time.
Please help me out. I thought only Cellphones with Bluetooth can be infected with virus? Could it possibly be that my K500 is already infected? Hope u could find time to reply.. thanks! =) |

I don't think it's a virus. It's generally only smartphones (i.e. ones with Symbian etc. operating systems) that get infected. The only thing I can think of is that one of these messages were message settings, and have been installed over your normal settings. If you get your service provider to re-send the settings (either via their website or as a settings message), your mms should work again.

I went to my service provider yesterday, they said that the settings is ok. They suggest that i should have my cell formatted. Whew! that would cost a lot! thanks a lot anyway.. =) |

formatting a phone don't cost nothing.just do a master reset in settings.all data from the phone will be deleted so please make copies before doing a reset. |
