I'd like to know why GSM mobiles dont allow to type a desired message on the screen?

Maybe he/she means just a simple note in the screen when mobile phone is in standby mode. But that it's possible. |

yeah. thats what i mean. You cannot type a message. Only says the operator name.. Why

it is possible, but you have to dangerously mess with the firmware. I heard that the message can only be as many characters as is the original operator name. btw I saw this on another page, not esato.
