hmmm... this is amazing. why arent we able to make such fones on our own?

let me think... we checked this wonder in- and outside, we managed the plans of construction, we know all the details, but we just cannot do it... weird... since today we we succeeded at copying everything...

come on yoshi, come on... i have to concentrate more, how to solve the problem... we need this technology and knowledge... we got now the detailes for every single aparts of t28, but when we followed the manual and put it together, at the end we got a ps controller instead of a mobile fone...

... the only way to get the real secret, is to merge with that swedish brand... seems, it the only option, WE ARENT ABLE to reach that high quality, what those scandinavians are offering to the world... i am still ages at sony, but what did we managed, next to the walkman and aybo?

... we have to survive and present in the mobile fone market aswell... we need ERICSSON, otherwise we ll disappear from the market...

epiloge: ...brrr, its so cold there, up in northern eurpoe, have to give a call to my little bro at yamaha, to get the plans of the newest salewa winther jacket and start to copy it, before i have to leave to lund...

@boba,why r u so againt sony?i think the both companes complement each other in their ventura.

gone r the days when a telecommunication major can alone sell gadgets which offer only the phone-sms service.new phones need new gadgets like camera,mp3 player, net surfing, syncronisation, and all...also a major strength of sony r their product planning and marketting.ericsson is good in mobile phone technology and also in designs.with sony, they have an edge.they launched the 1st major 2mpx cam phone.nokia also released a 2mpx cam phone but they screwed up with no autofocus etc.most phones nowdays have mp3 player...but branding walkman( worldwide established trademark in music) has increased the sales(they sold more than 3 million walkman phones last year).sony also has an international image for being a trusted electronics major.the name alone helps in selling the phones..

ericsson not only makes phones...they r the leading telcommunications equipment manufacture.they also need to focus on their other products and also develop them.when partnering with sony they r dividing the responsibilities of the growth of the phone company.

in today's world,no company can be said to be from a specific country.their headquartes may be in 1 country, their r&d may be in couple of countries, their factories some other countries and their consumers(sourse of money) from around the world.i think no MNC can be termed to be striclty from one counrty.in India, many towers(maybe more than 40%) of mobile phone operators are made by ericsson after competing with other companies alcatel for the business.today also happens to be the inaugration day for ericsson r&d facility in India.products developed from there cannot be termed Swedish...neither Indian.they will be termed Ericsson.

i think the days of the mobile phone is gone.its the time of a mobile device which also has a phone in it.

i appreciate both european and japanese technology.but none other.

both companies before joining hands produced some good phones.and together they produced even better phones.

ericsson r520 seems ahead in phone capabilities.but have a look at sony cmd mz5.it was ahead in its own way.

Yeah both Asian and European products both have their pros and cons. I appreciate both European and Asian technology. I have a Sweden made copper R520m. Solid build quality. Pure class.
Then take the Nissan Skyline R34 GTR. Pure power. In my view one of the best cars around.

Take home theatre speakers, I prefer European ones. But then take plasma TVs... I like Jap ones.

What I'm trying to say is we don't have to just shut our doors to things just based on a few bad experiences or perceptions. If we are open to new things, we will see that good/great things come from all over the place, regardless of its origin.

I personally don't care where a product or person comes from, so long as they are good.

Never argue with an idiot. They will drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.

I Nokia N95 8GB and N82
