Hey,
I bought a W550i here in India about 5 months ago.
I've had no problems with it.
But, there was this one time in college when i'd used the GPRS too much....The phone Restarted by itself ......prolly due to overload on the system......
This had happened many er times before....I'm a heavy GPRS user....but this time...the phone would'nt boot up
No matter how many times it resarted itself......I did'nt touch the power button BTW.
Then, the professor came, and i was forced to leave it in my pocket while it was still restarting itself over and over again.
I got a chance to take it out only after about , say, half an hour.....
It had restarted itself and was working normally then......
But i checked around to find that the world clock app, The worms game, and another preloaded app, which i barely used, were deleted....Yes, i do know they were predefined, and could'nt be deleted, but they're not on my phone now.....
The gauntlet game shows a cross mark next to it, though it still works.......
Now, what my real problem is that when i go to the memory status from the file manager, I see the number of files in messages....but don't see the amount of space they occupy.....

I thought i'd restart the phone.....but in vain......It never shows the memory the messages occupy.
I had R1A or something then......I thought a firmware upgrade could solve the problem, so , i downloaded seus and upgraded it to the latest, R4B or sumthin....
Well, it still does'nt show the memory occupied by the messages...
Should i try a master reset? If so, what program should i use to backup the phonebook......I've myphoneexplorer....backed up the files, but don't know if restore will work.
Have bt on the notebook too.
Don't wanna go thru wit installing pc suite......f's up the system.
