Hello everyone, i've been using SE for a while now but this is my first post here. First of all i'm sorry if my questions are already answered as i've failed to find by the search function. My questions are
1. When my phone (SE K750i with firmware - R1N035) is connected with ma pc via provided usb cable it's well enough fast when i copy files to the MS PRO DUO and I'm happy with the copy speed, but when I copy files to the phone's internal memory it takes me ages to upload each and every single file. The same thing happens while I'm downloading from the internal memory. Is it natural for K750i or I'm having ne problem? or is there ne possible solution for the problem?
2. This is kinda funny question, that is, I was intented to download the latest firmware for my phone and download the software from SE web site. Now when I double click the "Update Service" icon in my desktop, for 1 or 2 secs a busy icon appears at the side of my cursor and then nothing happens. If i click again the same thing repeats. What did I do wrong ?

If both of these questions were answered b4 please point me to those links as I was not able to find 'em and thanks for ur time.

well i would get a bluetooth dongle as its much faster overall. maybe the transfer is just slow to the phone because its a usb cable. takes a while to send stuff to my k500s memory. dont know why it sends faster to your k750 memory card but i wouldnt of thought its a big problem. as for the update service question i do not know about that. i would try a re install of the program following all the steps making sure you have all the specific requirements met....
welcome to esato btw!

Well, for my job I've had my hands on many nokia s60s and they copy to memory card as well as the internal memory at same spped rate and it's very good speed. my question is why would it take a decade to copy to internal memory when it's superfast in case of memory card (for SE phones)?
I've tried uninstalling, reinstalling, and even u can't imagine, i've created a new partition to install JUST that software using a freshly new installed OS.But again the same!....i guess i'm outta luck here

I think I've found an answer 'bout the update service, it's discussed here.

But still in dark 'bout the copy speed matter.

I made a transfer speed test using a 10MB file in several ways, with several software. My results so far:

From PC to Phone Memory via USB, with SE File Manager: 20KB/s, the same but using MyPhoneExplorer: 56KB/s

From PC to Phone Memory or MemoryStick via Bluetooth: 42-48KB/s

From PC to MemoryStick via USB, with SE File Manager: 310KB/s, the same but using MyPhoneExplorer: 330KB/s

From MemoryStick to Phone memory with K750's own File manager: 230KB/s

My tip thus: first to MemoryStick then intern to Phone Memory

Tht's my point, forget 'bout SE File Manger as it's been always slower,
By my phone explorer downloaded day b4 yesterday, My mp3 file transfer rate from pc to phone's memory is around 4.5KB/s ~ 6.5KB/s ! Isn't it annoying and very alarming transfer rate ?
Can u beleive a 4.8mb file took me around 14 mintues to upload!....Is it me only who's facing the problem first? BTW I've tried disabling the Antivirus too. No change.

I'm just surprised, that w/o me no 1 ever faced this weired problem! What can it be?
Another question is, In Sony Ericsson support in the procedure it's written that, right click ur connection (double arrow in the task bar) and un-check the usb-drive or something, now the problem is I don't have nething like that in my task bar!....Where from will it come ?

Just dont use SE phone manager. Put bluntly - its rubbish.

Just use the usb & the M/Card and copy to there and then use the phone to transfer to internal memory.

It may take a while to transfer to internal memory, i think its a hardware issue (bandwidth) but hey its got alot to think about ! and it does it eventually !
