.....but I really don't want to destroy my phone! Mine is all scratched and I want my phone to look new again!

Where should I get the housing to ensure it is genuine and good quality? Preferably on Ebay as I have an account on there!

I've seen some really cool looking cloloured housings, like green and white etc....where do I get these?

Is it really that easy to change the housing for someone who has never done anything so adventurous with a phone?

mobilefun or ebay are about the best laces to get housings. I think l8shop also has them too.

I found changing the housing probably the hardest I have done but I have only done T610 and K700 and it wasn't significantly harder

anyway, I'll post the couple of links to pictorial instructions that I usually post in the hope that it helps

Looking at the first link you posted am I right in saying that I would only need to follow it through to point 4, as this has removed the outer housing, and then merely reverse the process to fit the new one?

It looks fairly straight forward, with little risk of damaging the phone?

I have seen some discussion threads saying the housing they have ordered does not fit correctly or is poor quality.

If you just plan to replace the top cover, then yes, that might be enough. I've never done it, however, so I'm guessing for the most part.
