Decent in-ear headphones for K750i? |

Hi all
Just bought HPM-70 for my K750i, like the idea, but I have to say I think the audio quality is poor. Way too much bass, top end is tinny, muddy sound, etc. - all in all, I think the standard K750i handsfree sounds much more open and refined.
I like the idea that people on trains can't hear my music, though. Can anyone recommend some good quality in-ear headphones to plug into my HPM-70 adaptor? (preferably someone who agrees with me that the SE ones that come with the HPM-70 are lousy!) |

The HPM-70 headphones that I have have a lot of bass. Do you have the headphones firmly placed in the ear ok. They sound a lot better than the standard stereo headset that comes with the K750i.
Checkout my photos at My Website"Duct tape is like the force. It has a light side, a dark side, and it holds the world together." |

Thanks for replying, but you'll see from my post that part of my complaint is that they have way too much bass. I also don't think that the bass is good quality - lots does not necessarily mean good. And I find the treble tinny and hard on the ear, and the midrange muddy.
I know how to wear the HPM-70 earbuds, but IMHO they are poor compared to the standard ones that come with the K750. Any suggestions for alternatives to the HPM-70? |

there are alternatives such as a fastport to 3.5mm adapter that you can plug headphones into. But why not just use a decent set of headphones in the HPM-70? I use sennheiser headphones when I want great quality and they rock!

@alf, agree...i totally agree with u. i don't like the walkman series handsfree 1 bit. the k750 handsfree is much better, much more convenient & a hell lot lighter.

I hope you are not using MegaBass preset, cos that adds too much base and treble sounds become dull. Try adjusting the equalizer, cos from what I've read, the HPM 70 supposed to be better than the bundled ones.

I have both bundled and hpm-70 and the hpm 70 is definitely better, imho. However it is heavier and longer. The mike has to be clipped to your lapel otherwise the caller can't hear you that well.
Still it's a bonus to have the option to plug any headphones or audio system while out and about. For this reason and the better audio quality I'd rather use the more cumbersome hpm-70 than the original.

I like the HPM-70 that came bundled with mine. Bass is about spot on for me.
Have a look at some Sony phones with a 3.5 mm plug, maybe there's something there you'll like?

Thanks for the suggestions guys. I'm going to order some Sennheiser CX300 for my HPM-70. Quite recent, but by all accounts very good in-ear phones. Found them available fairly cheaply here:

Will post back to let you know if they're any better. |

Sony don't make the greatest headphones tbh. Look at Sennheiser ear budsor other professional audio brands. This link here has some good recommendations:

Edit: You beat me to it Good choice in headphones. They'll serve you better than the Sony units.
