to use it as a TEMS the phone's IMEI number must be authorized in the MSC's (the switches of the GSM network) so it has access to all TEMS functions, else it's just a plain R520...

you can actually do quite alot with it... but... if you start playing around, your network operator will most likely see it (depending on what you do) and will then block the IMEI...

a TEMS phone has some features ordinary phones doesn't have... like showing network information, lock phone to a certain cell/base station, increase/decrease signal strength etc etc... used by the engineers at network providers and companies developing GSM networks....

I'm not gonna tell you anything more about it... since you should not play around with it... it's actually possible to crash parts of the network with a TEMS....

well i know something about it, but i belive that crashing the net with a tems is not really possible

it is... not the whole network... but you can make a BSC go crazy...

it's possible to lock it at one channel... but I don't remember how you did it, was a long time since I "played" around with NetMonitor
