Do you mean "In Call" symbol? Do you see it when the phone's in idle?

Shame the W900i doesn't have a stand by clock as i think its a good feature. I noticed also that when you edit the shortcut keys you cannot select more than 1 feature for each key. For example change the up arrow to calendar and add extra features below it. The W900i will only allow you 1 feature per shortcut.
I hope the W810i and W950i have been changed to incorperate these features and some extra ones of course.

Don't know why my other post has been placed below?
Your icon can only be 1 of 3 things really. Bluetooth icon or the symbol stating that your phone is on silent or a profile icon. Profile icons differ in colour and size. Try going into settings and selecting profiles and reset profiles and see if your icon is still displayed. Can't think of anything else it could be?

something i have figured out is under this symbol there is a little number '1' which indicates that line 1 is being used as the primary line. in the settings a '2' will show up instead if i change to line 2, but i really want to get it off the display.

Never thought of that. You have 2 lines don't you? Some se handsets aren't compatible with 2 lines, bit like some of the Nokia ones. Try a diferent sim card in it, a normal one. Otherwise go in to settings then calls then manage calls.
