Anybody that knows the function of the little oval hole next to the LED on top of T39 chassis?

It is there to let the sound from the buzzer come out. If you want to turn on your phone, but don't want anyone ho hear the famous beep-beep-beep that all ericsosn pphones make when they have established the connection to the base station, you can put your finger over thaqt hole during the startup. It will not be completely silent, but not as noisy as it is otherwise. There are similar constructs on other ericsson phones also.
