the mobile to started to work and i thought i had saved it.. but the mobile only worked till the battery lasted. now the battery wont charge.. thier are some things that i need to tell u b4 u help me that is,,,
1. the service center wont take it cuz its liquid damage. the mobi not under warranty or insurance. I hav to fix it myself.
2. I inserted a battery (k600i) in my w550i.. it works but even if the battery is full .. its says its 0 percent. stays on for some time and then switches off.
3. the display works perfetly fine. Only the battery is not charging. i thinkso thier is some probs in the battery cuz the w550i battery is not charging in the k600i battery..
4. i hav disassembled the fone my self. now i need to in the w550i the motherboard of the fone is attached to the screen or lets say.. The bottom of the fone.. the keypad pard is aatached to the top of the fone the screen part by some wires. and it has some clips.. but i dunno those are permanent clis or not .. i need to remove them cuz i hav to clean the display as the milk has dried their..
PLz guys after reading my boring story try to help me.. will post pics asap
** Its the Blue color clip that i want to open.. I am afraid if i open it once it wont fit back and the wires are very comples.. i just need help that if someone experienced can tell me how to open those clips.. i can handle the rest.. Clean the display and buy a new battery .. maybe even clean the charging circuit/connector in the mobiel.. i know that will help.. But help me out to open the clips.. their are 4 of them. their is a blue dot on one of them.

@saq - Looks like that was really close mate With your story, it looks like the fone was salvaged. If the only thing that worries you now is the charging of the battery . . . I think you can OPT in getting a desktop charger so it can still be charged - 'outside'. Good Luck!

Probably the charging circuit/connector that's been damaged. Try taking the phone apart as much as you dare, ensuring there's no moisture left, cleaning anything suspicious up with isopropyl alcohol (e.g. medical swabs) and see if it makes any difference.
I suspect the damage has been done though, best advice I can say is to buy a desktop charger and a spare battery, charge the batt in the desktop charger and use the other one

@saq - After having READ this post from our co-member who knows how to 'skin' a fone and resuscitate damaged ones . . . my suggestion was RIGHT after all Unless, you will be encountering some problems if you have finally opened your fone . . . Good Luck!

ei no wories... now your phone is enriched with vitamins and amino acids... kidding! back then when CDMA phones are popular.. whenever these things happen... we just disassemble the phone and let it dry... after that.. its sol gud..
but i really dunno if this will also happen with these kinda phones.

I'm no expert I'm afraid, but give the best advice I can!
Most phones are the same, indeed electrical items when it comes to liquid damage. It's usually irreversible, but if you're quick in drying it out properly you can sometimes save it from damage.

i think the phone, after fixing the charging problem, can withstand falls and smashes... because it immersed itself in calcium...

maybe he's created a new alloy
Actually if you can get the phone apart completely and clean the milk residue there is some hope, but it's still 50/50. It may be permanently damaged.

expert opinion.. maybe from an SE employee you want? well the only logical thing to do is disassemble it and just like maxie said... get rid of milk residues.. on every corner of the phone just be careful enuff that you wont loosen some cables attached to something.
which i assume your afraid to do... next best thing is to bring it to an SE shop. let them do the dirty work...
cheers!

@saqibq...
wen i went to ind for vaction last july....my p800 got water locked....rain water!!!!i realised it only wen the phone stopped charging and the camera turned like predators eye........
i took it to the SE service center.....they told me it was "water locked"....they told tht reparing the phone is too risky coz the board was wet...so i had to sign an agrement tht if the phone sttopd workin after the repair....i am the 1 responsible.....so i gave up....i use to charge my batt.thru my sisters p800.....wen i came to riyadh after vac.i put the phone for charging....eventhough it din charge.......but after an hr i realised tht the batt was FULL!!!!!.........
so this is it....my phone does not show any indication of charging....but charges......but the indicator is always wrong.....goes down to 50% comes bk to 60...etc.....now its been almost 6 mnths after tht....im still using it...
so better dont play with the board....as its risky for the professionals too...
best of luck....
