I subscribe to the Mobile Office GPRS from Airtel, India, and find that every day I am not able to connect. Restarting the phone (K750i) solves this problem. This happens every day and once I restart all is well. I spoke to the Airtel customer service and they said that some phones have this problem and i should take the phone to the service center and they will change a setting.

This doesnt sound right as I think the problem is more to do with the service provider setting that the phone manufacturers. I've got the latest firmware as well (R1AA008)

Anyone have any ideas on why this is happening and if its related to the phone or the service provider?

Anyone? There seems to be a lot of people on Airtel in this forum - does nobody else have this problem?

I have the same problem with my k700. Usually i have to restart 2 times an hour because the downloading stops in between. I've tried constant pinging, but still no good.

Which state. I get an error sometimes. Just keep trying 3 to 4 times and it will work. But usually its trouble free.

I'm in Chennai, and this problem still persists - shop I bought the phone from says the problem has nothing to do with the phone but with Airtel. Each seem to be blaming the other and I'm stuck in the middle

hay guys!!!
i am also facing this problam on 7610,6600. and its only on airtel. in my opinion there is no problam with handsets.hutch gprs works fine but is quite costly. it happens in a specific area, and in that area it will happen with every handset. if u go to any other city it works good.here is a stupid trick from me if u like---restart the phone and immediatly connect to mobile office if u r using a pc,go to any site u like and start downloading anything. u need to keep the connection busy. as long as u keep downloading it will keep connected, for hours.u can use it now like browsing sites, chatting anything! it wont disconnect. the main thing is it needs to be kept busy.keep it busy!!!!!!!!
