Reccurent Tasks on the k750i? |

I was under the impression Sony Ericsson phones could do recurrent tasks.
I bought the k750i last week and figured out that it doesn't do recurrent tasks. The limited function of the Tasks is a letdown for me.
Are there any workarounds or maybe other software?
Do you think the k750i could do this?
And can people make function request to SE’s firmware technicians? If so, do they take them seriously and how would I go about making a function request? |

you can do recurrent taks, but you just cannot set them on the phone directly.
If you synchronize the phone with for instance outlook, you can set the recurrent task in outlook, and it will get synched to the phone.

use this to do all kinds of nice things with your pc and your S//E phone.
Including setting up recurrent tasks, writting sms on the pc, doing backup of the phone, editing calender, contacts etc. , trasfering stuff to and from your phone, both internal and external memory

edit: So by making a recurrent task in Outlook, then synching it?
Wouldn’t I have to be syncing it all the time? Too much hassle I think.

OK, I see how it works for the first occurrence, but to reoccur (2º time around) do you have to sync it with Outlook again? |

From what I can tell k750i’ Tasks don’t reoccur. Outlooks Tasks reoccur, even though I don’t like how it generates a copy of a reoccurring task, it should just update the date and time of the reoccurring task.
In conclusion k750 tasks don’t reoccur. Synching with Outlook’s reoccurring tasks just simulates reoccurrence.
IMO it defeats the point of having a reoccurring tasks if you have to turn on a pc and and sync with Outlook every time you want the task to reoccur.
SE should implement reoccurring tasks in upcoming firmware. I really can’t be arsed to synch the phone with Outlook every time I want a task to reoccur.
Also if task could change profile, it would be sweet.
I have to add that it seems that if I mark a task as done on the phone, the sync software will not mark it as done in Outlook. So Outlook doesn't generate the reoccurence of the task task. The only way to generate the reoccurence of the task is to open Outlook and mark it as done in Outlook.
Kinda lame. It has to be tweak imo.

K750i can have birthdays for annually recurring tasks. Pity is you cannot add them directly. When you add the birthday details for a contact, the phone prompts for a Task to be added. Accepting the prompt will give you an annually recurring task for the Birthday. Deleting the contact does not remove the task.
