Hi.
I have been trying to use Mobile Networking Wizard progam so I can use my W800 as a modem for my PC by using my T-mobile gprs account. This is using the USB cable connection.
I've got it set up sucessfully, however, the only thing I can get to work on it is Microsoft Outlook, to send or recieve e-mail.
I cannot seem to get Internet Explorer to work no matter how much I play around with IE's settings.
Has anyone been through this type of thing, and can give some advise as to what I need to do to get IE to work?
Thank you for any help. |

So, u've installed the modem and created the connection?
And you successfully connect using yo connections?
Maybe your gprs setting doesn't support normal inter?
Try this
------------
Connect by clicking yo connection short cut
- If yo modem is correctly configured yo fone should connect and display the globe icon. And yo PC should confrim connection.
- on yo command prompts try "ping www.address.com"
if yo connected you should get some replies.
If u don't get replies I don't know then.
If you get reply. it means yo connection is fine.
On IE connections select dial when when no internet connection.
Theoretically this should work.
If it doesn't work then contact yo SP for new settings.
Also make sure that yo dial number specifies the settings you use.
Eg. *99***1# -> Setting where CID=1.

bongzino, thanks for your advise on this matter.
However, the problem was with my browser settings.
I had to set it up with the proper HTTP proxy server and port number. I had to do this when I installed Opera mini on the w800, I should have remembered to do this with my Internet Explorer and Firefox browser on the PC.
Anyway it was my fault that the browser wasn't working, but it's doing great now!

Not sure if its my network or it tis W800.
After a few minutes or about 5MB data transfered. My connection kinda freezes. I just can't get any responses. It only works again when I restart the phone.
Has anyone experienced this?
----
I have found the solution for this, on the connection setting on the PC it was set to disconnect after 15 minute idle.
