Hey all.

Have gone back to owning a K750i with W800i firmware, and when I plug in the mains charger, it appears to turn the phone off to charge.

This didn't happen on my old phone, any reason why this would be the case?

thanks

@sik - That's strange mate . . . Though I make it a practice to charge the fone in the OFF mode. Still got warranty with your K750? If it does, I guess that will be void too as you just upgraded it to a W8 firmware . . . [addsig]

Any other strange happenings? Or is this the only one?

Interestingly, if I go into the "secret" menu, the model is listed as K750i, although everything else is the same as the w800i.

Might try upgrading the f/w to R1AA008 and see what happens.

Just annoying, as I'm on call, and need my phone on 24/7 really

I don't know i'm afraid as it asn't me that flashed it.

Ill try upgrading it later, in the meantime I can always charge via USB.

Have to concur with Boba, a simple reflash should solve the problem.

i suggest letting the k750i be a k750i.u have already void ur warranty & i don't think u wanna end up with a paperweight. [addsig]

You obviously didn't read my other posts. The fact that it reports as being a k750i doesn't matter at all. The fact that it won't charge unless it's off means its next to useless as a phone for me, as I'm on call for work!

flashed with newest firmware and all is well.

Thanks for the advice guys.

One strange thing: first time I plugged into mains power after flashing it said: "charging: alien battery" then continued to charge.

I powered off, back on, and now it just says "optimized charging" as normal.

Odd!
