Equivalent to the size of two SIM cards and less than 3mm thickness, MobileCard technology is designed to enable all the essential functions of a mobile phone. With this technology, a regular phone is reduced to a "shell," which typically consists of mechanical housing, keypad, LCD, and speakers. Consumers can simply insert the module into the "shell" to have a complete phone.

Hmm, i would have thought its more or less a redundant technology to be honest, everyone has a mobile phone these days. On the other hand, it is tiny, easy to carry around. But people are so used to mobiles, they are just part of the "keys, mobile, wallet" that everyone is used to carrying. Most people don't even notice the bulk of a phone in their pocket any more.
