Well just got my k750i, all going good, decided to connect it to the computer to transfer some music.

All went well at first, then after a few transfers the folder on the computer closed and the computer stopped reading the k750i.

I removed the cable and checked it, everything looks ok, so connected it back to the computer. The screen of the k750 started flashing white and blank, and in the My Computer folder on computer the Removable Drive F was flashing too :S

I wiggled the cable around and got it the flashing to stop, the removable drive folder was back, so I opened it, and there was NOTHING in it, just completely blank.

I dont know what to do, someone help??!

Ok. I have found out what has caused the problem.
It happened when I was transferring a simpsons episode to the phone. The computer displayed a message similar to "Check file name and destination" or something like that.

Just noticed that the file has a really long name, maybe the k750 couldnt read it or something?

The phone works fine with the card out, goes into the Video folder without freezing, but as soon as I put the card in, the vid folder wont work, and the phone wont connect to the computer.

So, what can I do about this?

Edit: Just formatted the card, video folder works now, but the damn thing still wont connect to the computer....HELP!
Come on people I really need help here, pleeease

Ok, after fiddling around with it for about 2.5 hours now, I am ready to throw my phone at the wall...

I've even taken some bloody videos for you guys to see lol...

Vid 1
Vid 2

Vid 1 is so you can see what happens when I connect the phone to the computer, screen flashing and nothing pops up.

Vid 2 shows that the 'removable drive' is sometimes detected and will appear for a sec and then disappear.

I'm so depressed lol

Oh and another thing, I know the phone IS connected to the computer because it WILL charge, it just wont open up the drive :S

Edit again:

Finally got into the Memory Stick Duo drive, and guess whats in it...?
Absolutely NOTHING!

Hey thanks for the reply Pain85.

How do I upgrade firmware? I checked the SE website but couldnt find anything about it. I found this link though, which is a download thing for downloading the latest SE Software onto the phone. Should I do that?

Also, I have already tried un-plugging and disconnecting thru the task bar button, tried resetting the computer, turned the phone off and on, wiggled the plug around a little, nothing seems to work...

Shit.

After nothing but suffering, the phone now doesnt even turn on...

It just flashes that white screen in the vid I posted above.

What a waste of $450. Maybe I should just get a Nokia.

EDIT: Ok it just randomly started working again.
Still cant use the data cable tho, im gonna get a bluetooth dongle instead...

SE refers to the phones firmware as software, presumably as many people don't know what firmware means, so yes, that's what you want to do. All you need is the SE update software and the DCU-60 USB data cable.

Thanks.

Yeah tried updating it last night.
Followed the instructions, always get up to the part where it says "Release the 'C' button" and then once I release the button absolutely nothing happens...

Just an update.

The seller is getting 2 more k750i's at the end of the week, and has agreed to swap me one, for the faulty one he gave me.

SWEET!
