750i works without MemoryStick but not with. |

I have recently received a second replacement 750i handset to overcome the bluetooth failure on the 2 previous handsets. I retained my SIM and MSDuo. The new handset works fine if I do not have the MSDuo inserted; as soon as it is inserted the phone shuts down and will not restart until the card is removed.
Anyone any suggestions, or do I need to demand handset number 4? |

If there is enough time before if shuts down.
Try formating the card.
Of format using a card reader.
And maybe test the card on another phone.
Just to make sure that the problem is not with the card.

The phone crashes immediately the card is inserted.
Is it possible to reformat using a card reader? If so how? |

It's best if you use a card reader to format your memory card. It's pretty simple, insert your card into the reader, connect to your pc. When you go to My Computer, you'll see a removable drive, that's your memory card. Right-click and select format. That should be all, good luck mate! |

I had near enough the same problem- i have posted for help but no-one else seems to have experienced the same problem.
With the card in my phone freezes, sometimes i take it out and put it back in, then after a while it will turn off and will try to reset but all that happens is the screen flashes on and off. Only until i pull the card out the phone works. This is with a 2GB HS-MSPD card though, and happens even if there is no data on the card.
My original 64MB card works fine- i've just decided to send it back to the Ebay seller i bought it from for a replacement which should sort the problem (if it doesn't i'll go even more insane!).

The best way to solve this problem is to find someone who uses the same phone and use his battery on your phone with your memory card inserted. If it works, u'll know its your battery, but I strongly believe its the card. |

Yup, it does seem more likely that it's a memory stick problem.

Same thing has happened to me once.
I restarted the phone without the MS and all was well. Both phone and MS has worked since.

we're not talking about once, but everytime. Is this because of firmware? I cannot understand why it should be the battery, what's has it to do with the mem stick? (haven't tried yet with another bat. though) |

Hmm... I still think it's a good idea to get a card reader and format your memory card with your pc. The card reader's a good investment anyway. Upgrade the firmware too, these should solve the problem. If they don't, it's hardware, and only the service centre can fix that. No harm trying first.
