I am getting mixed info on wether or not the DSC-11 will work for unlocking the k750i. Can anyone clear this up for me?

no. I'm assuming you mean the DCU-11 cable which is not compatible with the K750 in any way as it has the old style connector whereas the K750 has the new style.
indeed as far as I know the DCU-60 cable included in the box cannot be used to unlocked the K750
I, myself, bought the davinci cable in order to unlock  phones with the new fast port
