Just in time for Valentine's Day, Vodafone has announced the results of a survey they conducted o要 "Feelings related to love and mobile phones."

According to the survey, there is a trend for women to be happier about mysterious communication using mobile phones versus men. In response to 51.3% of males saying that they are "happy when they get a lengthy phone call from [their] partner," more females -- 60.0% -- answered yes to this question. Though 70.5% of females said they are "happy to get a good night mail before going to sleep," 63.4% of males said the same thing.

When asked if they feel as though whether or not it meant the person "had a pulse" when they receive a quick reply from their partner (whether or not it means the other person likes them), 55.8% of females in their late teens said "Agree" or "Somewhat Agree." However, 38.7% of males in their late teens responded the same way when asked the same question.

In response to the question of whether "it kills the mood if the person you like has a dumb email address," o要ly 7.5% of males in their earlier thirties responded "Agree" or "Somewhat Agree." However, 24.4% of females in their earlier twenties responded the same way, making it more than three times as many. Vodafone said, "this is thought to be a reflection of a woman's instincts, as she wants to understand the other person from not o要ly the contents of their mail, but of their mail address."

When asked if they "think [you] can understand a person's feelings and mood from the number of 'hearts' they use in their mail message," 42.1% of females "Agree" or "Somewhat Agree." However, females in their portion of females in their thirties agreeing with this is drastically lower. Also, around 70% of females in their early twenties stated that they "expect a reply if they put a question mark '?' at the end of their mail."

The survey was done via internet, and went from January 6th to January 8th. There were 3,000 respondents, some male and some female, between their teens and thirties. The "10 Rules for Mobile Phone Love," which will be derived from the results of this survey, are scheduled to be released o要 February 13th o要 the Love Fixed Site
