Hi guys,
I'm looking for a new cell for my dad. Basic requirement is colour screen and MAXIMUM battery life. no cam, music and other fancy function required. He is very high user so battery life is the key.. Suggest me some models ( non SE phones will also do )

Thanks

J300i would fit the bill. And you can get it for £30 from Phones4u. It comes as PAYG on virgin but the phone is unlocked and unbranded.

Nokia 6030?

Talk time = Up to 180 minutes
Standby time = Up to 300 hours

Used this phone for a while myself, nice little phone, excellent speaker!

Compare the two suggestions here:

BTW. The pink cover on the J300i can be changed.
The specs are nearly the same. The battery lifes are the same (J300i actually has a longer talk time). The J300i is smaller and lighter.

Dont buy a Nec or Motorola , no good 4 battery life. . . . My Dads just advanced from a Nokia 'brick' that he's had for the past 6yr, to a Nokia 3510. :D

J300i tech data says that it gives 420 min of talktime... Has anyone used it? If its true then its gonna be good deal for me..

dont trust those results, those are made in labs under perfect conditions. -20% is a reasoneable result, but notice, it depends mostly on the reception and the way of charging the batt

If you look at the Esato phone finder:
http://www.esato.com/phones/findphone.php
and select talktime over 384mins nearly all the phones are SE.
