I would like to replace the green LED on my T68i for a blue one like the bluetooth LED on the other side of the phone, does anyone know where I can get hold of one of these LED's and how would I fit it? Is it difficult? Are they expensive?

I got an idea to change the place of bluetooth led to another side and another led at bluetooth side, I have tried once but can not and you are not suppose to do it... coz the led has green and red color but the bluetooth led has only one color so you better leave it.

Hasn't this been brought up before? I'm pretty sure it has... And I seem to recall that it was covered quite detailed as well. Try searching for it, if you can't find it I'll have a go as soon as I get to my computer.

Can't seem to find it...
Advanced search is down at the moment so this could take for ever...
I know someone has done it.

Hi Tranquil,
I believe this is what you mean (sorry that I haven't made a link to the post, but I didn't know how to do it sorry)

Just a little more technical answer to your little chat about the red, green and blue LED. The fact is that the green/red LED is the same component, however there is two different colours "inside" (red and well...green). The way it works is actually like a diode (semiconductor) and if you pass a current trough the diode it will lit up in either red or green (because of the small x-tal inside). The colour depends on which "leg" on the component you connect to the the voltage/current source. However some red/green LED only have two "legs" and if the current/voltage is giong one way it will lit up in red but if the voltage is reversed, it will lit up in green colour.
On the 3 "leg" LED you can even get an orange colour, by applying voltage/current to both parts of the LED at the same time.
Anyway, if you want to get an red colour instead of the green colour it might be that you just could turn the LED opposit, however if you do so you have to take into consideration that the green LED might(this is quit normal by LED's) draw a higher current than the red LED and therefore the circuit which drives the LED (the driver or resistor or whatever SE have used) might not be designed to do so and this will (if you are VERY unlucky) burn the circuit.
Further to this I can inform you that if you want to change the green/red LED to a blue colour, then you have to notice that blue LED's as a common rule is drawing a much higher current than both the red and the green LED, and then the above might also happen. And further to this the battry will go dead quicker than normal.
Well this was the booooooorring technical details about the LED's, but I sure agree with you that the blue is MUUUCH nicer that the red and green LED.

@8legs
Thank you.
By the way guys... A little "mum talk".
If exersices like this is prefomed by a un authorized person (you know what I'm abut to say, don't you?) all warranty on your phone will be "gone with wind"... (you all knew that anyway)...

@ eric'son
Well I don't know if it really is sooo hard to perform the modification with the LED...I know that when my phone is not under warrenty anymore, then for sure I will replace my LED under the buttons and maybe the green LED as well...
I did it on my prev. phone a Nokia 6110 (SORRY GUYS) and that went OK..in fact it was just great. I changed all the LED to blue and changed the cover to a transparant cover...it just looked SOOOO nice.....and yes pepole was just STARING when I used the phone..
