Hi, everybody,
Please help me with this huge problem. I need to transfer my most favorite and, in fact, the only theme that I use my SE K700i phone to P910i. Obviously we are talking about different screen and image dimensions, but I wouldn't even now where to start in order to apply the necessary changes.
Thank you in advance for your help! |

I am not that good with all this image and themes stuff
I didn't even know that there was such thing on the SE website. Can it convert the theme size automatically? |

I did try the Themes editor on the SE website but it was useless. It only gives you the option to use their templates for the themes. There was nothing related to using your own file, resizing the images, etc.
If there is someone in the forum who creates themes, please give me a hand with this thing. |

if you are enabled to extrat the files from the k700i theme, and then puzzel them together by resizing and such for your p9xx could work but you will lose a great deal of quality becaos of the low res on the k700i.

Ity really isnt a simple thing.
Creating a theme is 2 things.
First you adapt all the graphics in an imageeditor like Photoshop, correct sizes, cut it into correct pieces to fit the different elements of a theme etc. etc., and there are quite alot. Then you use the S//E themeeditor which is only a visual frontend to combine the many elements and save it as the correct .thm file with all the elements inside and an XML file with the configuration.
Now to create a theme for the P910 all the element are different in resolution, size, type and aspect and you use a different themeeditor, so to convert a k700 theme to a P910 theme would be a big job, that would look terrible, especially if the only available graphics were those inside the K700 themefile.

Hmmm...that's bad news
It seems that it will be too much effort for a questionable or outright bad outcome. Unfortunately, the only thing I've got so far is the ready theme, which I downloaded from a website, i.e. I don't have any of the images that it was compiled from.
So what are my options? Should I at least try to find someone to help me with what I've got and see what happens or should I try to collect some samples of what it could look like from scratch and work my way forward?
Please give me your suggestions and assistance, if you are good at these things and are willing to help. |
