I'm sure could release a camera add-on (like the old t68's).

I think the slimness comes from leaving things out, like WiFi. Strange but the battery life is not as good as the P990. I would have thought a business centric device would be designed with better battery life. Also for the UK not having EDGE will be a problem now that Orange and another network plan to support EDGE.

I think I could live without the camera (have a k750 that I can always use when I'm going out, etc...), but the WiFi is a real bummer.

Since this is a business phone, WiFi would have been really useful (not to say the m600 doesn't already offer a range of connectivity options), but the wifi would have been my selling point (vs 990).

The phone spells 'business' all over.

So then this is not the K800? In some threads there was speculation that the non-walkman brother of the W810 would be this phone - apparently not?

Its a Blackberry competitor, nothing more.

Personally i like how it looks, even the white version, but the lack of a camera is its biggest drawback for me.

Also, i think it looks a bit too much like an ipod nano.

I'd rather have a Nokia N80 tbh..

I'm surprised that some people are instantly making comparisons with the P990, and questioning why SE have released it when it could make the P990 obsolete. I visited SE this morning and it was made clear that they want to increase the portfolio of UIQ devices. Something we've all wanted for years (instead of the 'annual P-series update' that we pretty had since the P800).

The M600 is going after the enterprise market, and some operators may not even see the need to release the M600 via the usual retail channels, preferring to go via their business channel. After doing so well with imaging and then music, it seems a logical move to venture into new markets. Nokia did the same sort of thing in the mid-late 1990's, having previously released only a small number of phones in any given year, and it seemed to work for them!

To clarify; the keys rock, and it uses a new system (not from Tegic) to predict possible words (but, you can also type the whole word as normal). This also works when you use the stylus to write, which I actually found quicker and easier than using the keyboard! It seemed to predict the next word, but not always (maybe it was a bug, or I had to teach it..). Whatever the case, it's quite easy to use for messaging.

I'm not sure how well it works as an ordinary phone, without using the stylus. There are no dedicated call/end buttons or softkeys - but it's all a case of getting used to it I suppose.

The M2 card seems unnecessarily small, and I can't believe it saves much space inside. I'd have preferred MSD, if only because I have built up a collection of cards over the last few years!

I didn't like the white version in the flesh. Sure, it looks (and lights up) just like an iPod but it looked cheap. The black one looked a lot better. What both of the colours did do, however, was make the P990 look bulky - especially with the flip attached!

I read in the Sunday Times a week or so ago that Blackberry is now going to be switched off. Someone stole their technology, was taken to court and Blackberry lost!!!

Ahh well. My dad told me to read it. Couldn't be bothered so he told me what is was about. Well still I think the M600 could be a great competitor.
