Ok then me and the missus have both got w800i's, they looked good, funky design, walkman, and a good camera, so naturally we both had em.

Since updating them however they are no fu£$%d!!

My missus phone cannot access the memory stick, or use the camera , or alter the themes etc ?

And mine is the best! Ok it wont connect to the pc (Unknown Device, and ive tried all that uninstalling reg crap), i can access the stick but "Playback Failed", i cannot hear through the earpiece (It has to go on speakerphone), it tells me the battery has 3% left every 5 mins, when it has had a full charge, and the earphones dont work!!

Nice isn't it, should i just send them both back or what???

BTW my friend has a K750i he updated his and he cant use his camera or media player because they are the incorrect drivers!

Thanks Sony, always wondered why i prefered your brother "Philips" lol

Just wondering...

...what was the reason that required you to update the firmware if there wasn't any problem in the first place?

Well i assumed updating it would make it run a bit faster etc wipe out some bugs ?

You update your pc's software so just thought phones should have it too!

I have a lot of phones in my collection. I only updated one (T68i) because the last firmware has several games added, but aside from that, I follow the rule that "If it is not broken, don't fix it.

My T610, T630, K700i, P910i, K508i, K750i, W800i and now the W900i has not given me any headaches. I wouldn't join the bandwagon and update, just because there is a new firmware and it's suppose to be better and faster.

What bugs? You just said in one of your posts that there was nothing wrong with the phones until you updated it?
