sony ericsson t68m - wap and gprs |

Hello Members.
Have just recently changed from T-Mobile to Orange on PAYG, due to reception problems. Have been assured by Orange that GPRS is active on the mobile, but when trying to access pages, receive GPRS parameters not supported error
Have asked for WAP settings to be sent from Ericsson by SMS several times, but the new settings don't make any difference, am still unable to connect.
I believe I have the Data Comms section set up correctly, but would appreciate some points of help
Best Rgds
Paul

Thanks for your prompt reply.
Have tried your suggestion, many times in fact, but despite having had the settings sent by SMS from both SE and T-Mobile (former provider) am still unable to connect, either by GPRS or GSM.
Sent an E-Mail to SE support, but the reply pointed me to the Web page, where I'd just come from in the first place !!
Not much help really from SE.
Any other ideas would be appreciated |

If I try and access via GPRS the error message is
"GPRS parameters not supported"
If I try and access via GSM using Dial-up the error message is
"Failed" |

Is it a branded fone?

Not exactly sure what you mean by this, but I didn't buy it from new.
I was given it when my Brother-in-Law received an upgrade (He's on a contract with 02)
I used the 'phone for 3-4 months with a new T-Mobile PAYG Sim Card, and was OK with WAP on that.
When I changed to Orange PAYG, it doesn't work any longer, but the GPRS Icon is there, and Orange C/Services tell me it is on my account |

Negative.
The T-Mobile PAYG SIM Crad worked perfectly well in my previous phone (Nokia 7210), and also in the Ericsson T68, but the Brand spanking new Orange PAYG SIM Card cannot connect to WAP, full stop |

The Orange SIM allows TX/RX of SMS no problem and also MMS, but not WAP |
