agent23, call Voicestream and tell them your WAP isn't working. Make sure you are signed up for GPRS data service as opposed to the "regular" wireless web. You will need to receive an SMS from them containing the WAP settings for your phone. After that it will work.

You won't be able to do an "official" upgrade of your phone in the US. There are a few threads on this subject in the forum if you search.

I'm just passing this info along, but other users have talked about sending their phone to a guy in PA who upgraded their phones. Have heard only positive remarks, but again I haven't dealt with him myself. Try sending him an email:

email: ke3ee@attbi.com

It would also be a nice drive up the coast to Vancouver, B.C. if you can find an address there. Take a long weekend...

How is it freezing when trying to do WAP? Is it that it never connects, and you can still hit a button to make it stop trying to connect, or does it literally freeze? If the first, get GPRS (it's worth the extra cost anyhow.) WAP uses regular voice channels, so they can be taken up. GPRS has dedicated channels. If the second, try a new battery and home charger. Really.

basicly, It freezes when I select WAP icon.
It's not when I'm using WAP, because I can't even get into the WAP menu.

I think if you have this kind of problem it may caused by your phone not your service provider.

agent23, I think johnnie is right - the problem is with your phone. Just take it back to the T-Mobile store and they should give you a new phone. Definitely do that before going through the hassle of upgrading! Good luck...

Thanks a lot guuys,
I've contacted T-Mobile and asked for another replacement.
Hopefully that the next replacement phone works just fine.

Thanks much for the advice.
