Can someone please talk me through what i'll need to use my phone as a modem in this post? I've got a nokia 6610i, i haven't even got a data cable yet... And will i need a land line? Cos i don't have one... |

You dont neede landline for using the phone as modem!!
For the 6610, you need a data cable (i forgot the model) i think its DKU-5, to connect the phone to the pc...you can also use ir to connect.
Before we get into the connection part, you need to make sure you have full gprs (web access) activated on your phone.

try browsing a html page with the inbuilt browser

@amax i dont think the 6610i has a html browser, atleast the 6610 doesnt.
Btw, i can access html sites on my cell(i'm making this post from my 6670), but cant on a pc. I have only wap gprs though. |
