O2 currently doing the W800i for free on all contracts. On the cheapest tariff (50mins and 200txt) which is £19 that works out at £228. Plus you get £240 worth of text in the year and £240 worth of calls a year!

Not a bad deal if you ask me!

I have found better than that here:
http://www.onestopphoneshop.c[....]00&B[0][handsetcode]=ORAW800I#
11 Months at £15 = £165
1 Month at £30 = £30
Total = £195

I can beat that

if you are not already a member, join www.quidco.com (its free)

then use the link on quidco to buy from the O2 shop as mentioned in the first post and you earn £35 back which quidco pay to your paypal account

total is then £193 and no faffing around with the cashbacks of onestopshop (who are quite unreliable from what I have read in many posts here). Quidco cashback is all automatic, nothing to send in etc. Thats how I got my 8800

quidco is great. I've earned around £70 since early december just from byuing stuff at places like boystuff and O2 and ebay etc that I would have bought anyway!

presumably thats £140 without any of the airtime, e.g. minutes and texts, that are included in the deals mentioned previously.

so thats not really comparing apples with apples as you would still have to pay for airtime even if using a sim card that you already own and unless your own sim provides the same minutes and texts for £4.42 per month ((£193-£140)/12) then ebay is going to be a worse deal over the term, I believe

And I bet it's a secondhand one rather than a new one!

Though of course with my little experiment, if it goes according to plan, I'll have gotten one for £12!

I got my W800i on O2 upgrade through CPW in september for free with £40 cheque back, double texts and minutes for three months, all for £16.99 a month!
Thats £163.88. The W800i was going on ebay for £275 at the time.
