Hi all,

My GPRS was working fine until I did a master reset.
After that GPRS will not work anymore.
I tried sending the parameters from Sony ericsson web site and from orange France web site but with not success.
I called orange France support; they told me that I have no problem with my setting.

Could someone help me?

Thanks in advance for your help.

It doesnt happen that way. If you have installed new settings, just sw off and on the phone once and it should work.

when you do master reset it restores gprs settings to factory (or original branding). Is your phone using the same operator as was on the phone when you bought it?

What phone do you have and do you have a unlocked, unbranded phone?

find someone with a working GPRS and has a similar network as you. make sure you have the same settings and it should work.
resistance is futile.

Hi all,

Thanks for all you replies.
I have:
Mobile: K750i
Firmware: R1AA008

I had already called my operator and we tried everything but it did not work.
They sent me there setting my SMS, we tried to put them manually but with no success.
They told me that the problem is from the phone.
The error that iIhave when I try to connect is:
"Communication failure try again or contact your operator for support".

Hi smmonla,

Do not worry. A master reset does not affect the GPRS even if it was an unlocked phone. I am saying this from personal experience

1) Please check the settings

2) Remove the sim and insert it again.

3) Try a different GPRS activated sim (your friend's)

I still do not think the phone has any fault. Delete all the settings. Clear catch etc.. Then retype settings again. Sw off and on the phone. It should work ok. At times it is frustration i understand.

I also have a K750i with the latest firmware RAA008 and I find that GPRS does not seem to work. I am on the Rogers network in Canada. I spent at least an hour with each of them (Rogers tech support, and SE tech support) and they both tell me that the settings are correct. I tried all kinds of web config downloads via TXT and/or SMS messages - install, etc. and none of them work.

I didn't try the GPRS on the older firmware R1A035, so I'm only guessing but it may be related to the latest firmware.

Does anyone else have a K750i with RAA008 and on either Rogers or Cingular???

Everything else on the phone works perfect. (TXT, MMS, GSM internet, etc.) It's just the damn GPRS data communication that doesn't work.

It doesn't give me any kind of communication error - I see the little globe so it looks like it's connecting, but it just times out and doesn't find anything, After a few minutes it just says "server not found". I tried all the default settings and alternate settings I could find, including inserting a known DNS etc and still no go.

Thanks for help with this one.
