Widgx Article

"This is a concept phone that uses E-Ink.The idea is that the user can customize the front face, phone pad, turn it into a QWERTY keyboard, MP3 player or whatever. I think the thinness of this device is a bit much to expect given the proposed functionality, but not outside the realm of the one-day possible.”

Great idea, reminds me a bit of that O-led keyboard with customisable keys. As you say, for the multi-function applications supported, the device is a bit on the slim side, but it looks great and looks like a reliable indicator of the way things arer going.

Yes i agree the design is excellent,E-ink technology has only just starting to take off and the first devices useing this should be out by end of this year or next, but i think it will be another good few years before we see this in our phones. [addsig]

superb idea! full QERTY keyboard for email/txt, full screen for video/camera/mp3 and all in a device with small overall proportions! definately the way i can imagine things going in the future! just a shame it isn't available now - i want it!!!
