Hi,
i used to have a problem with my k750, it would restart or shutdown .. i would get a totaly whitescreen voor couple seconds.. and then it wil restart.. or it would stay that way until i pull the battery's out.. this all would happen 1 or 2 time's a week..
After updating to R''008.. it's all happening everyday.. most of the time at night around 1- 2 am .. screen turns complitely white and stays that way until i pull out the battery's...
Does anyone else got the same problems.. does anyone know solution? |

Had the same thing on my W800i, fixed it by doing SEUS but now my phone just locks up all the time.
Why can't SE release stable firmware?! |

White screen can be caused by two reasons
(a) software corrupted or "complete phone / finalization" process incorrectly complete
however, I see more phones are due to the hardware
(b) hardware
1. Check if the BROWN ribbon cable is firmly fixed to the PCB.. (major cause)
2. If not, replace the ribbon cable
3. Some ribbon cable are attached with LCD (like V800 / K750i / w800i) ..then sorry, u will need to change WHOLE LCD and it's costly

U mean like.. opening phone.. fixin' the cable .. ?:P
i don't think it's hardware fault.. but rather software. cuz i didn't had the problem when i was on older firmwire. so i guess.. the update wasn't perfect. |

when trying to access some sub menus, it just turns white then goes back to the standby screen.
Firmware is R1n005
Is it still possible to have this flashed and reinstall a new firmware? Is there a possibility that the phone might die in the process? |

I've experienced a few restarts when my phone is completely idle, and when it comes back up, it never asks for PIN or phone lock which I have both set to On.
It happened a couple of times when I was on R1N035 and once now that I have R1AA008. |

yea.. it happens 3 times on my K750...
first: when i had upgraded to R1AA, and on the next day when i was transferring files... at first plug it wasnt detected by the PC, so i pulled it out and plug it in. then it went thru, while heap transferring (phone-PC), it suddenly flashed the COnnection error. then it flashed white and restarts itself.
second: when i was playing around with my pictures... copying it to other folder. when i came along a certain pic at a size around 350-400kb (which i have double checked later on) while viewing it hanged my screen, then turns into white then eventually restarted. and found myself on standby screen.
third: just last night when i tried to play a game called BOX IT, that ive been playing back then, but now it hangs and turns the screen to white and eventually restarts back to the standby screen.
amazing... surely a firmware would not get unstable for sometime... or arent they?

Sorry to tell you this, but that's how mine began. Just last week I was going through the sub menus in each folder, then when I tried to access "info" , the phone just froze-followed by a restart. It only did that when I tried accessing "info" buttons. I tried to do a master reset but insted, it would freeze and just restart.
Then just the other day, I was talking to my wife on the phone when all of a sudden the line was cut. called her again and the same thing happened.
the rest was history, It got worst and worst after each white screen and restart. Now I cant even set the time, send or open an sms.
Phone is fine on standby, doesnt turn it self off on other menus. But I can barely use it as a phone now, "it cant call".
You know whats funny? Camera works perfectly! Media player as well, and surprise!!! "THE MASTER RESET WORKS!!!".
SE really got us fu_ked up with its K750i.

well mine was K750, It went dead just after uploaded my picture thru opera mini beta v3. u could only see a quick whiteflash wen u switch on then off till u twist the damn battery. after a few repair now it can switch on en show "insert correct sim card" which 4 a while then goes off with a whitesceen.

While I was running R1AA008 on my w800, many times the phone restarted itself, crashed and etc... Now I updated to R1BC002 so the phone is running PERFECT. I updated a week after the firmware was released and the phone hasn't let me down since that day. So for me the R1BC002 is excellent firmware and I'm gonna stay on it longer. |
