Bluetooth vs Data Cable [Battery POV] |

Hi
I have SE - K700i. I use it as a modem for connecting to the net using GPRS. I use bluetooth for connection. But I guess bluetooth just sucks my cell battery like mad.
Will it be beneficial from the battery usage point of view to use the DCU-11 USB data cable instead of bluetooth? Will it help to conserve the battery power? If yes by how much amount?
Also does GPRS itself sucks battery?
Thanks for your time.
Guy.

Yes GPRS also drains your battery faster but not as much as BT. That's why it is recommended not to leave GPRS always ON.
In my experience using cable uses less power compared to BT I don't know exactly by how much, sorry.
If you want to monitor the power consumption of the phone while using any of these connections, you can check the current monitor in float's Mobile Agent.
resistance is futile. |
