Can you tell me where to find a text editor for my editor ?

Id like an application like the sms editor and secured with a password.
Nobody should be able to read my files without password.

I have a sony ericsson K600.
Thanks

search for fileprotect and readmaniac. the first is for password protecting any file, including pics etc, and the other is for reading large text files (saved in the phones file system). I don't know of any means of writing your own text files other than an experimental russian utf notepad (in russin phone manager). I'll test it and let you know.

Edit: nah the utf text editor doesn't read via the phones browser as a txt file would.

I get fatal error when I compile readmaniac with filesystem support.

Without filesystem support, it works fine.

Edit: Sorry, I get the error when I start readmaniac on my phone.

fileprotect works fine.

Always wanted something like Fileprotect for Sony Ericsson phones since their security UNLIKE Motorola's is so poor.

k600 supports jsr-75, so you should be able to use a generic jsr-75 MIDP2 compile, or try the K750 implementation.

getjar.com has a text editor!! You can create text files in a raft of formats unicode, utf8 etc etc, save them on the phone or memory stick, edit them (or other text files on your phone), open and strip html files of html code and much more.

A shit hot application for anyone needing serious text editing funtions!

hmm, that ms word is okay, but the only way to get a copy of saved files is to email them. And it essentially only saves text files - even though it supports rtf, there is no way to specify bold, underline etc.

Atleast the text editor on getjar has jsr75 support.

You're right, that text editor is pretty good, you can even create wap and html pages offline on your phone!
You can download that as well now from my apps page

Cool. You do have a good collection of useful utilities available in midp. Well designed wap site too.

Hi, BOSSHOGG:

Are those apps in your wapsite perfectly compatible with K750?

And could you give a short desciption for those BT chat and BTjacking tools and which are the best to use?

Thanks.
